Fanning the flames of Prayer.

Ever felt like you are being pushed into a trying season?

Well, I have good news for you! You are not alone. I would actually dare to say that every person encounters this in their walk one way or another. Ever felt like everything is going wrong? Everything you put your hands on fails? Feel like everything around you is crumbling and wonder where God is? Yup. I have been there.

What if I told you some of our most trying times are the greatest blessings in disguise? I know what you are thinking… Eli please you don’t know what I am experiencing at this moment! Well, you are right about that. I may not know exactly what you are experiencing as everyone’s walk is different but I can tell you I have experienced some “thangs” of my own. However, these “thangs” as I call them have ignited the fire in me and have pushed me to seek God even deeper.

Think about this, the act of fanning a flame. What happens when you fan a flame? Many would say, well you could turn it off? What if I told you that fanning the flames actually makes the flame grow bigger and stronger?

Fan the flames: Intensify or stir up feelings; exacerbate an explosive situation.

A lot of times the Lord will allow us to enter this season in life so that we can learn to fan the flames of prayer. Sometimes it takes urgency to ignite that fire that was once in us for the Lord. Instead of allowing the season we are in to define who we are in the Lord, I wonder what would happen if instead we fanned the flames of prayer? If we prayed harder? If we were to seek him deeper? Man, would God move! The Lord placed this topic on my mind because He needed me to reassure you that He has not forgotten about you. He just needs you to be still and simply fan the flames of prayer. Sometimes we need that extra push to make us give birth to our ministry/ purpose.

1 Chronicles 16:11 ~ Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

Psalm 141:2 ~ May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 ~ pray continually

I will not add or take away from what the Lord gave me for this blog post. Thank you! I pray God ministered to your life through this post.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Casado ❤
