Hi my lovelies,

Sorry for the almost 2 week hiatus. I have not been feeling very well lately, but thanks to God I feel encouraged in him and know that  He has everything under control in my life. So, below is a letter I found in my journal that I had written to God last summer. I was inspired by it once again and I encourage you to write love/prayer letters to God. There is just something about writing intimate love notes to our God. Some people may say, “It’s just so hard for me to carve out time to pray in my day, or I seem unfocused in my prayers, or I am just too lazy to carve out time to pray.” It happens to us all at some point in our lives. Don’t be ashamed by it, but I encourage you to take action and to do something about it!

The worst thing we can do is throw ourselves a pity party and not do anything. The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion looking for who to devour next. Don’t give him legal right over your life.

“Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” – 1 Peter 5:8 

TAKE ACTION!

A simple way to break through this stagnant stage is to start off writing letters to God. That way you will remain focused on what you are writing and can feel free to be as open to God as you can since you are not openly voicing these things. Of course eventually transitioning into prayer time as well. As time goes by and you make this a practice, you will again regain that fervent want to seek His presence, whether that’s through prayer, letters, fasting, etc.  Keeping in mind that God is almighty and yes he can read your thoughts and your letters as you are writing it. 🙂

Father,

Here I am again a sinner pleading that you may forgive me although my actions do not speak it, I am sorry. I come before you in repentance. Forgive me because  I have once again fallen short of your Glory. I am not perfect, but that is no excuse. Help me be perfected in you in such a way, that I will detest the things you detest. That my heart will break for the things that break yours. That the fear of the Lord may never leave my heart. But above all else that my love for you may never become cold. Take this hardened heart and make it pliable once again. Help me become who you called me to be. I want to inspire, teach, preach and assist in saving lives and bring them closer to you, for your honor and glory. I want you to be proud of your daughter. Just as your Spirit descended above your son I want your Spirit to be with me- always. I rebuke all that stands in my way in the name of Jesus.
